
Phil Meyer

Phil Meyer is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Master’s in Music Education, and a graduate of Denison University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance on the French Horn. For the last six years, Phil has been a band director in central Illinois teaching students from beginners through high school, teaching concert bands, jazz band, small ensembles, and assisting with the high school marching band.
During his time at the University of Illinois, Phil was a graduate assistant with the Marching Illini, and the director of the Women’s Basketball Band, and Women’s Volleyball Band. Phil, his wife Allison, and their big dog Duke have recently relocated to central Ohio because Allison is going to be the Writing Center Director at the Ohio State University! Phil is very excited to be a part of the Red School of Music team, and looking forward to meeting all of the wonderful musicians along the way.
