Rehearsals and Auditions
Get a Broadway actor's experience, from auditions to rehearsals to the big show. More than just a class on singing, acting, and dancing, we provide the closest experience of a Broadway star, including rehearsals for the big show.
Students are given various opportunities to apply their learning in more practical setups such as annual recitals and shows. We want our students to grow in confidence and experience what being onstage is truly like!

Our faculty is committed to providing professional quality education to each of our students. We believe that teachers, as second parents, should be able to provide support for our students and help them in their musical journey and their personal growth.

Dr. Susan Musselman

Dr. Susan Musselman received her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Western Michigan University…
…and her Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in vocal performance from The Ohio State University. She studied at the American Institute of Musical Studies in Graz, Austria, as well as completed the K-12 music teaching licensure certification through Ohio State. An accomplished singer, Susan has performed in Europe as well as throughout the midwest. She has been active in the Central Ohio music community for 19 years by performing with Opera Columbus, The Lancaster Chorale, the Education and Outreach program with Opera Columbus, and has been a featured soloist with The Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus, the Heisey Wind Ensemble, the OSU Chorale, the Wittenberg Choir, and the Columbus International Children’s Choir.
After 9 years of teaching at Wittenberg University, Susan shifted her focus to the Marysville community through her private studio and Trinity Lutheran School. She resides in Uptown Marysville with her two children, is currently singing with the Union County Singsations, and is thrilled to be joining the Red School of Music family.

Sarah Julien, a Columbus native, will be graduating in May of 2022 from The Ohio State University School of Music…
…with a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance. During her time at Ohio State, Sarah has had the privilege of studying privately with Dr. Katherine Rohrer, head of voice. She is also a member of The Ohio State Chorale under the direction of Dr. Robert Bode.
Both a teacher and an active performer, Sarah has enjoyed several operatic roles during her time at Ohio State, including Cherubino (cover) in Le Nozze di Figaro, Armalinde in Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon, and Doofey MacLaran in the modern opera Sweets by Kate. Sarah currently teaches voice and beginning piano to all ages at RED School of Music, and serves as a section leader and soloist at Bexley United Methodist Church.

Alec Arnett, originally from Portsmouth, Ohio, is a senior at Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio where he studies vocal performance and music history…
He is a student of Dr. Karen Eckenroth (voice), Dr. Suzanne Newcomb (piano), and Prof. Jennifer Bell (organ). Opera credits include Dr. Gregg in Moore’s Gallantry, Buff in Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor, Peter in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, and Amantio Di Nicalo and Master Spinellochio in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi. Alec also performs with the Otterbein Concert Choir and the Early Music Ensemble. He is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, the National Association for Music Education, the Ohio Music Education Association, and Delta Omicron: an honorary music fraternity for which he serves as the 1st Vice-President.

Lucy is a recent graduate of Baldwin Wallace Conservatory of Music, earning her Bachelors in Music Education…
She is one of the Artists in Residence of the Bellefontaine RED studio, while also teaching through the Marysville studio.
She is a pianist, vocalist, guitarist and ukulelist, and enjoys exploring a wide variety of styles through all of these instruments, whether it be pop, classical, jazz, theatre, folk, etc!
Lucy is inspired daily by the inspiration and fellowship that she finds in teaching, and she loves to be able to share her passions and her gifts with her students!

About Mr. Nick...
…where he gained rich musical experiences in collegiate choirs, orchestras, small ensembles, and private lessons.
Originally from Buffalo, New York, Nick got his start performing in school musicals and playing cello in orchestras. He was a student of Regina Mushabac (cello) and Susan Wallin (voice).
He is a cellist, violinist, vocalist, and pianist, and has a background in many styles, including classical, musical theatre, fiddle, and pop. Nick is very passionate about sharing his musical interests and helping students to find their own musical path and reach their fullest potential!
