Amy Conley received her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of North Texas and...


…her Master’s degree in Clarinet Performance from The Ohio State University. At Ohio State she studied Clarinet Performance with James Pyne and Caroline Hartig.
Amy has taught woodwind lessons and masterclasses throughout Texas and Ohio. She has also performed with various groups in Texas and Ohio.

Amy loves all genres of music and sharing her love of music with her students. She teaches each student according to their ability and musical goals. Her aim is to instill a sense of music appreciation and bring out the best musician in each student.

Phil Meyer

Phil Meyer

B.M. Music Performance (French Horn ), Denison University | M.M. Music Education, University of Illinois

Phil Meyer is a graduate of the University of Illinois with a Master’s in Music Education...


...and a graduate of Denison University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance on the French Horn. For the last six years, Phil has been a band director in central Illinois teaching students from beginners through high school, teaching concert bands, jazz band, small ensembles, and assisting with the high school marching band.

During his time at the University of Illinois, Phil was a graduate assistant with the Marching Illini, and the director of the Women’s Basketball Band, and Women’s Volleyball Band. Phil, his wife Allison, and their big dog Duke have recently relocated to central Ohio because Allison is going to be the Writing Center Director at the Ohio State University! Phil is very excited to be a part of the Red School of Music team, and looking forward to meeting all of the wonderful musicians along the way.

Sarah Julien

Sarah Julien

B.M. Vocal Performance, Ohio State University

Sarah Julien, a Columbus native, will be graduating in May of 2022 from The Ohio State University School of Music...


…with a Bachelor’s degree in Vocal Performance. During her time at Ohio State, Sarah has had the privilege of studying privately with Dr. Katherine Rohrer, head of voice. She is also a member of The Ohio State Chorale under the direction of Dr. Robert Bode.

Both a teacher and an active performer, Sarah has enjoyed several operatic roles during her time at Ohio State, including Cherubino (cover) in Le Nozze di Figaro, Armalinde in Pauline Viardot’s Cendrillon, and Doofey MacLaran in the modern opera Sweets by Kate. Sarah currently teaches voice and beginning piano to all ages at RED School of Music, and serves as a section leader and soloist at Bexley United Methodist Church.
